Job Description

Accountable for planning and implementation of new regulatory requirements in the international jurisdictions, and establishing and maintaining the external vendor or inter-affiliate TPG framework. Drives change across management processes to achieve outsourcing regulatory compliance and global operating efficiency.  Embeds an effective global risk management culture while meeting all regulatory and legal requirements. Interprets regulatory changes and enforces their implementation in a way that achieves results while satisfying the requirements of relevant regulators across jurisdictions. Holds management accountable for regulatory compliance and the delivery of products and services from third party vendors and through inter-affiliate relationships. Is accountable for developing consistent and robust processes to sustain compliance with global regulatory and legal requirements, providing transparency and comfort to all lines of business and the executive management. Defines the global strategy and direction for external vendor and inter-affiliate TPG regulatory compliance, including governance, control and risk.   Leads the ongoing development of the TPG global framework with a focus on all global regulatory requirements. Directs the development of materials from regulatory guidelines into workable and measureable global training and support solutions. Advises on and delivers vendor and inter-affiliate-focused solutions to TPG requirements using significant industry expertise. Regularly engages with Compliance, Legal and executive level stakeholders to understand requirements and drive global compliance. Advises senior and executive stakeholders on methods of ensuring compliance. Ensures regulatory requirements and quality standards across the global vendor and inter-affiliate population. Maintains a worldwide overview of all interactions with relevant regulators on all outsourcing matters relevant to the vendor and inter-affiliate population in coordination with senior management, Legal and Compliance. Ensures appropriate project management disciplines are applied for the most effective, efficient and timely implementation of regulation.   Scopes and owns the development of strategies for the efficient implementation of global TPG regulations across processes and systems. Establishes standards for day to day interactions with functional stakeholders including Legal, Compliance and Risk to ensure TPG processes are maintained to a standard that is acceptable to regulators and that documentary evidence is complete and fit for purpose.

Leads regular meetings to ensure that projects are progressing according to plan and corrective actions/steps which may be required in order to achieve commitments.


Ensures more junior professional staff are managing tasks appropriately and providing measurement and analysis and other related documentation. Designs and enforces a consistent approach to reporting on the status of regulatory compliance projects across jurisdictions and across legal entities. Communicates robust global metrics and reporting to senior management. Uses existing strong strategic relationships with all key stakeholders such as Business and Legal Entity Managers and all key stakeholders and vendors to produce favorable conditions for TPG and ensure global regulatory compliance. Works closely with senior contacts within the TPG group in order to present a single “client face” to global customers.   Required Skills:  

Experience in a Financial Services or similar Compliance function in a multinational organization.

Knowledge of, or experience with, Procurement and/or Third Party Governance activities. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand business deliverables out of regulation, and functional requirements/performance standards across multiple disciplines. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to synthesize complex topics for senior management consumption. Project management skills a plus.
