Job Purpose:

To fulfill all administrative needs of all fund buying and distributing BNY Mellon Investment Management clients in the region.

To act as a first and ongoing point of contact for any client service needs.


To work alongside and support the sales team to deliver an effective level of support to BNYM IM’s clients and to be a point of contact for those clients, providing reactive and proactive client service to a consistently high standard in order to maximise the sales and retention efforts as agreed and required.



  • Deliver & communicate operational excellence to the clients of BNY Mellon IM.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with the operational contacts of BNY Mellon's clients.

  • Respond to incoming operational queries and ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Work alongside the Sales Team and Relationship Managers, supporting the sales process and ensuring that they are kept appraised of all relevant issues relating to the client.

  • Work closely with internal departments and relevant external parties to ensure the highest level of client service is achieved and maintained.

  • Maintain regular client contact by telephone or personal visits with the aim to improve client service and satisfaction and continue to build the Mellon brand and image.

  • Observe, maintain and improve tight risk control processes.

  • Fully understand and adhere to the company’s procedures covering anti financial crime matters, including but not limited to, AML, KYC and sanctions requirements.

  • Identify areas for process and client service improvements on an ongoing basis and in line with business, market and product developments.

  • Deliver regular monthly and quarterly reports to clients accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Provide temporary cover for Relationship Managers or other Client Services staff when needed.

  • Co-ordinate client meeting requests and assist with the preparation of presentations for client meetings as required. Host client and fund manager meetings where required.

  • Support the Sales team by providing pre- and post-meeting communication and documentation assistance and sourcing data to assist in the sales effort.

  • Form and maintain close working relationships with the relevant sales personnel in order to be able to provide proactive and supportive information to them and their clients to facilitate the sales effort.

  • Act as point of contact for RFPs, including review of final documents; the negotiation and implementation of new legal agreements; and any other documentary support of the sales effort.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the data in the firm CRM system.

  • Assist in the training of new joiners.

  • Comply with all corporate policies and procedures within the department.

  • Alert management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness.

  • Notify management and/or Compliance immediately of any regulatory breach.

  • Comply with health and safety policies and procedures operating within the business

Technical Skills, Knowledge, Systems Knowledge:
  • Experience in the investment management industry preferred
  • Client Service Experience strongly preferred
