Role Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
In this newly created role, we are looking for someone to support our Chief Economist in the production of our quarterly and thematic pieces.
Under the guidance of more senior staff, you will be responsible for conducting economic studies, interpreting, projecting economic trends, and developing forecasts.
Ideally, you will have a deep understanding of financial markets theory and quantitative skills.
Technical Skills/ Academic Qualifications:
• A Master’s degree in economics, mathematical economics, econometrics or finance preferred
• Strong theoretical and quantitative skills
• Programming ability – including one or more of Matlab, R, Eviews, Python, Excel (C++)
• Experience in a central bank, international financial institution, asset manager or investment bank would be advantageous
• Exposure to big data/data science would be useful
