Operations Settlements Advisor
To be the point of contact for internal and external parties in regards to the booking of Options trades, Client and adviser reporting, collateral management (Lodging and withdrawing equity securities), performing daily margin settlement with the ASX and problem solve queries that arise in daily operational functions
The Options Settlement Advisor is a member of the Bookings team.The key responsibilities of the options settlement advisor include, but are not limited to:-
Daily margin settlement with the ASX
Collateral Management – Lodging and withdrawing collateral
Daily allocation of ETO trades, ensuring all trades are allocated to client accounts.
Processing give-up trades to various different counter-parties.
Assisting correspondents with Adviser and end client reporting queries
Providing ad-hoc reports upon request from the correspondent
Working with the ASX to ensure correct client documentation is in place to enable collateral lodgement.
Performing Member to Member transfers, both incoming and outgoing with Australian counter-parties.
Responsible for internal daily task list to be completed, raising exceptions as required.
Assist with system UAT testing for new system enhancements/updates
Review of daily & monthly account reconciliations ensuring any breaks are resolved and reported in a timely manner
The Options Settlement Advisor
- An in-depth understanding of the Clearing, Settlements and Custody Cycle;
Data entry experience;
Knowledge of DCS and ASX business rules;
Exposure to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
Exposure to Broadridge Summit is preferable but not essential;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills;
A high standard of personal ethics and integrity.
