Independently develops the strategy for the organization's investment portfolios. Oversees analytical requirements and develops opportunities for improved portfolio performance. Serves as expert level counsel for business partners and clients, recommending best approaches to achieve short- and long- term investment objectives. Has developed significant expertise on industry trends and business environment. Responsible for setting the strategic direction for asset allocation model development. Technical expert for investment committee reviews, develops strategies based on significant expertise and committee decisions. Ensures portfolio composition objectives by overseeing the monitoring of individual security and sector deviations from index. Rebalances portfolios when necessary and during index reconstitution. Ensures the management of cash and currencies and/or exposure levels. Develops the standards and approach for account review to ensure they are administered in accordance with the governing instrument and accepted fiduciary principles. No direct reports; provide guidance to less experienced staff as needed. May enlist and lead others to assist in managing very large, complex accounts.
Qualifications Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. CFA license preferred. 10-12 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in investment management preferred.
