Job Description

Change Management - IC4 Leads and controls complex change management projects, including product launches or enhancements, changes in BNYMs services, enhancements to existing businesses, operational support enhancements, risk and security enhancement, changes driven by regulatory bodies. Performs project management for full, multi-phased projects. Incumbents have developed a depth of expertise in a specialty or niche Change Management area or a certain type of client. Works independently and under pressure with complex, high quantity, often contradictory information, while problem solving to adhere to strict deadlines. Guides and reviews work completed by more junior Change Management roles. Delivers and implements projects that involve complex, high quantity, often contradictory information. Problem solves to adhere to strict deadlines. Is fully compliant with standard project process/implementation methods but able to adapt approach and demeanor to match shifting demands and situations. Identifies and manages goals, risks, issues and resources and ensures QA process is applied throughout each project/service lifecycle. Helps less experienced Change Management roles identify goals, risks, issues and resources and provides guidance on issue resolution. Constructs long-term, sophisticated project plans and enlists the work of less experienced Change Management roles as support resources on projects. Provides project management for programs or multiple workstreams within larger programs. May assist management with distribution of resources and assignment of projects to more junior roles. Communicates with clients to schedule meetings and facilitates project meetings and workshops. Produces outputs from project group sessions and reports on issues to relevant parties for sign off. May delegate output production duties to more junior roles. Analyzes issues and uses well established knowledge of the business to propose solutions. Presents proposals and provides reasoning to function Management. Monitors project process, risks and issues through weekly reports, CAIR log and project plans drafted/updated by more junior roles. Finalizes reports for presentation to Management. Escalates issues that will significantly impact project delivery to relevant parties. Reviews and defines next steps for issues escalated by more junior roles. Leads project post-implementation reviews. Communicates effectively and frequently with Project Initiators, Technology, Operations, Senior Management and/or the Client and ensures regular communication among these groups. Has a sound understanding of the commercial environment and competitors products. May make product and process recommendations to Management. Mentors and guides less experienced team members to improve their Project and Change Management skills. No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced team members and helps them to develop Project and Change Management skills. Manages large, complex internal and external projects. Assigns work to more junior level team members.


Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in Project and Change Management or experience within one or more of the asset servicing functions is preferred.
