Job Role:

 

Investment20/20 RFP Trainee

 

This role entails the design and completion of new business questionnaires for the BNY Mellon IM EMEA’s domestic and international sales teams.

 

Although you may have never heard of BNY Mellon before, this traineeship could be for you because key to the purpose of the programme is to teach you about what, why and how we do what we do.

 

You will receive ongoing training designed to develop throughout the year, where you will have the chance to improve your skills as well as your technical knowledge. You will have the opportunity to study for the IMC (Investment Management Certificate).

 

As a trainee at BNY Mellon you will be part of the wider Investment20/20 trainee programme and be part of a community across the industry. You will be invited to training and social events, organised by Investment20/20, having a chance to network with 200 other trainees in the same position as you.

 
Key Responsibilities:


• Timely and accurate completion of relevant documents covering the breadth of investment services offered by BNY Mellon’s asset managers
• Developing relationships with sales & marketing teams (Institutional, International, Private Client and Wholesale) to understand and support fully their sales & marketing efforts
• Assisting with the capture and maintenance of information/data for inclusion in RFP questionnaires (e.g. AUM, personnel information)
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of systems for the capture of information for inclusion in RFP questionnaires
• To attain a good knowledge of BNY Mellon’s asset managers and their investment services and to keep up-to-date with any new developments/products
• Comply with all corporate policies and procedures within the department.
• Alert management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness.
• Notify management and/or Compliance immediately of any regulatory breach
• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures operating within the business.
• A knowledge or understanding of RFP production would be desirable but not essential
• Good writing skills with the ability to turn complex investment ideas into clear written paragraphs
• Attention to detail, numerate and ability to analyse statistical data
• Ability to prioritise and work accurately to tight deadlines
• Good inter-personal skills. Must be able to interact well with other members of BNY Mellon Investment Management’s staff, both within Investment Management EMEA and with external/internal clients
