With direct guidance, supports the Investment Manager Research and Oversight team for an assigned region. Contributes to the completion of a low-complexity quantitatively oriented analytical assignments. Is beginning to gain experience with investment systems and software, including Bloomberg, Barra, Factset and Workbench.
With guidance, contributes to research and analyses of a low quantity of non-complex mutual funds and other investment portfolios using quantitative software applications.
Contributes to the evaluation of performance/risk attribution for both fixed income and equity portfolios. May assist with the implementation of solutions for addressing risks, as directed.
As directed, manipulates financial and statistical databases to provide relative performance and risk comparisons against benchmarks and peer groups. May assist with the development of solutions for automating data accumulation and analyses.
Is learning to draft reports that provide clear and accurate analyses and that identify and track risks. Reviews drafts with more senior professionals to improve own work.
Is beginning to build relationships with Portfolio Management Group colleagues, external peers, auditors and regulators.

Qualifications Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Degree in math, engineering, statistics, computational finance or economics preferred. MBA or CFA preferred. 5-7 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in finance, investments (Modern Portfolio Theory), risk management, and/or derivatives preferred.
