Job Description

Client Processing - IC3 Provides complex analytics and reporting services, working to improve and automate Client Processing systems. Manages moderate to complex external client issues. Directly advises other organizational units/teams to ensure timely delivery of service, or resolution of issue. Meets with organizational units/teams to ensure problems and issues are being addressed appropriately and that they are resolved in a timely manner. Participates in product development, product enhancement, and system testing to ensure that products continue to accurately and efficiently process high value transactions. Solves complex problems based on an understanding and knowledge of the intricacies of the system. Integrates in-depth area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices to provide solutions to internal and external clients. Provides support to lower level client processing roles. May be responsible for allocating and checking work of other team members. May be responsible for specific supervisory review, training and approval actions. Contributes to the achievement of related teams objectives 


Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 5-7 years of total work experience is preferred. Experience in brokerage processing is preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.

A primary function of this role will include working with senior and junior business sponsors to gather and define requirements and determine appropriate solutions for conversion projects, both internal (from one platform to another) or from external (from another administrator).  Assist in the conversion of funds to platforms that provide BNYM user benefits (potential revenue-generating)   as well as platforms that streamline back-office processing (efficiency and headcount reduction).Responsibilities: Gather requirements from the business line users for various funds/clients

Key Responsibilities: Fully document all requirements and solutions.Liaise with internal and external technology partners * Work closely with administration, technology and operations partners. Create and use reconciliation tools used for data migration, mostly Excel based. Participate in releases, perform system integration testing and perform / organize user acceptance testing. Assist in preparation of project status reports for Senior Management. 

Experience in Alternative Investments or similar industry (preferably Hedge Funds) strongly preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with particular emphasis on the production of clear and detailed Written Business Requirements and Functional Specifications preferred. Finance / Accounting background a plus. An understanding of the AIS (Hedge Funds, Fund of Hedge Funds, Private Equity) business and an interest to further develop this knowledge. Ability to write test scripts and coordinate system and UAT testing.Expert PC Skills;   MS Excel / Word / Windows Operating Systems/ Macro writing experience a plus. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, analytical thinking, task oriented and strong work ethic,

team oriented experience preferred.
