Sr. Representative, Regulatory Administration/Filings
Regulatory Administration and Filings - S2 Provides regulatory administration and filings support activities for clients of moderate complexity. Reviews work of more junior colleagues and provides technical assistance as needed. Tracks data and maintains regulatory records for clients of higher complexity in accordance with department policies and procedures. Provides requested data to team members. Performs straightforward calculations needed to answer regulatory questions on behalf of clients. Reviews work of junior team members. Compiles prospectuses, proxy statements, and other SEC required filings for clients. Requests information needed from team members and checks to make sure required information is included. No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced Regulatory Administration and Filings Support staff, as needed. Responsible for the quality and completion of own work. In addition, this individual will be responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys, managers and regulatory administrators in providing regulatory administration to BNYM’s clients as well as providing general office support to the department. Candidate will also be responsible for preparing drafts of mutual fund clients’ SEC filings as well as drafting and coordinating the preparation of mutual fund board materials, and assisting staff in conducting a quality control of board materials, coordinating client mailings and providing other general office support as needed.
QualificationsAssociates degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 2-3 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.Candidate should have strong writing skills, be highly organized and detail oriented. Candidate must also demonstrate dependability and self-motivation to work on tasks without supervision. Previous legal or mutual fund experience is not necessary but would be helpful.
