Head of Core Task & Compliance Team

Job Description

• Managing a team of 10-12 employees in Depotbank, including staff development, staff planning, coaching of individuals as well as the regular performance reviews
• Ensure a smooth day-to-day business, including operational oversight, service delivery and that the business adheres to all relevant risk, compliance and regulatory guidelines
• Implement and develop rules to take care that all relevant client agreements are met properly, incl. monitoring of KPIs/ KRIs
• Active control and Management of existing outsourcings and further development of the sourcing model, this also includes the maintenance of the underlying SLD
• Continuous and pro-active development of existing deliveries to clients in close cooperation with the other internal departments (e.g. Relationship Management, Client Service Group, Risk Department, Business Change Group)
• Organisation and implementation of Client Presentations and Service Review Meetings in cooperation with the other Depotbank teams Fund Accounting and Client Management & Governance
• Work cooperative together with other teams of Depotbank and support Head of T&D with regards to strategic projects and implementation of cross-departmental projects
• Support of internal and external Audits


• Apprenticeship in Banking or Business with certificate or Finance / Business University Degree
• 5-7 years of experience in a Depositary or a KVG or similar experience with an Audit company
• 3-5 years of experience in managing people, ideally in a Depositary or a KVG
• Broad and deep knowledge of fund accounting and other relevant operational processes either in a Depositary or in a KVG
• Strong analytical and structured mind with will to share knowledge
• Committed, engaged and pro-active character with high accountability
• Direct, open and binding communication
• English: Business fluent
• Knowledge in German and European Investment Law, i.e. KAGB, AIFMD, UCITS and the BaFin Circulars
• Stable handling of MS Office programs Excel and Word and ideally Access/ VBA
