Under close supervision, the incumbent is required to utilize multiple application systems to review, input and release critical outgoing domestic and foreign wire transfer transactions in accordance with established business unit and corporate policies. Work is assigned by the Wire Transfer Unit Manager. Examples of responsibilities include: evaluating request forms for completeness and accuracy; confirming approvers' authorization status; verifying debit account status/balance; generating financial transactions to fund wires; keying wire data into processing applications; performing quality review of other wire processing analysts' transaction input, correcting if needed and releasing; researching and resolving daily out of balance situations at end of day as needed, and researching and resolving returned wires and other discrepancies as assigned. The Wire Processing Analyst I is expected to develop competency in wire processing sufficiently, to enable incumbent to learn and support additional functions within the Wire Transfer Unit Team, and throughout Deposit Services.
BA/BS or 1-2 years of equivalent job experience in branch office or backroom operations preferred. Characteristics of a successful candidate include flexibility, ability to focus on detailed work for extended periods of time, meeting monthly, quarterly and yearly high peak volume processing deadlines. Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize work. Strong PC skills, flexibility and the ability to learn and use a number of internal systems are critical.
