APAC Execution Governance Lead (Technology)

We are looking for an experienced Execution Governance Lead to provide oversite and governance for Technology in APAC.  You will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture.  You will also oversee the progress of operations.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing finances, governing project / program delivery and developing efficient strategies and tactics.

The goal is to ensure that all BAU services and programs are delivered to the desired outcome to support the business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with the CIO to amplify teamwide capabilities

  • Develop and oversee teamwide progress reporting

  • Ensure departmental effectiveness through data-informed management practices

  • Create new processes / refine existing processes to capture evidence of effectiveness and impact

  • Assess performance reports and project KPIs and determine optimal next steps

  • Implement and manage team action plans to ensure improved performance over time

  • Communicate complex concepts effectively in writing and verbally with staff

  • Lead special projects and initiatives as required

  • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects

  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives

  • Coordinate cross-project activities

  • Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff

  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities

  • Apply change, risk and resource management

  • Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors

  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI

  • Resolve project’s higher scope issues

  • Prepare reports for the CIO

Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis

  • Experience with budget management

  • Proven experience as a Program Manager

  • Proven experience with a focus on operations management

  • Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication

  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management disciplines

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, working knowledge of program/project management software (MS Project, PPM) and other tools for example, JIRA and Confluence will be an added advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial.

  • 8-10 years related project management experience required, experience with Technology (Infrastructure and/or Application Development) or Financial Services industry is a plus

  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
