Our new Executive Manager, Line of Business Risk, will help to map our future as we invest in new capabilities to drive significant improvements in business performance and the client experience. The Executive Manager will lead a global management team responsible for the ongoing independent oversight and challenge of day-to-day risk management activities, client, product and process change risk assessments and risk reporting for assigned business line(s)/entity risk(s) or legal entity facing a high level of risk. The Executive Manager will lead the assessment, monitoring and reporting on risks inherent to business activities, including fiduciary, reputational, business and strategic risks; advise on effective risk mitigation strategies and ensures implementation; and be accountable for the integrity of the business line(s)/entity risk(s) or legal entity's adherence to the Operational Risk Management Framework. This position also includes responsibility for the Broker Dealer Compliance and the business line's Global Chief Compliance Officer matrix reports into this position. The Executive Manager serves on Risk Management Committees and may advise or serve as Chair for other committees to ensure their effectiveness; facilitates and encourages informed and constructive debate on key issues; and may also lead enterprise wide risk governance projects.Primary Responsibilities:
Consults on the establishment of the enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management framework, the Company Risk Appetite Statement and the Corporate Operational Risk Management (CORM) policies and procedures. Oversees the establishment of the assigned business line or legal entity's risk appetite statements, in alignment with the Company Risk Appetite Statement, and application of and adherence to the risk framework policies, processes, measures and limits. Establishes protocols for enforcing and monitoring compliance and assigns routine monitoring responsibilities through less experienced managers. Leads the development of reports and status updates and delivers these as well as improvement recommendations to senior management and the CORM function.
Serves as the approval point for processes implemented by the assigned business line or legal entity regarding accepting new business, preparing and maintaining standard documents and RFP databases and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures. Establishes the chain of approval based on best practices and extensive industry experience. Advises on effective risk mitigation strategies and ensures implementation.
Leads efforts to develop a strong organizational risk culture, further develop the function's effectiveness as a second line of defense for the business or legal entity and to influence and ensure business adherence with the Operational Risk Management Framework.
Coordinates with the global compliance officer ensuring regulatory compliance and supervision in all jurisdictions for the line of business. Proper establishment and periodic review of the supervisory system of the business line broker dealer. Ensures adequate compliance change management including an effective process to amend policies and procedures to account for new regulations.
Uses longstanding, strong relationships with senior roles in Risk Management, Compliance and Audit as well as senior roles in the assigned business line or legal entity to drive the timely completion of risk related deliverables and issue resolution. Produces accurate and effective solutions and appropriately escalates issues to the Risk, Compliance and business line or legal entity management teams, as needed.

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. FINRA Series 7 and 24 required.
15+ years of total work experience with 5-7 years of risk management or compliance experience preferred.
