Job Description

BNY Mellon’s Data and Analytics Solutions further extend Asset Servicing capabilities in securities and cash into the world’s most important ‘asset class,’ data. As a software and content business, inclusive of Eagle Investment Systems’ data management, accounting, and performance platform and Intermediary Analytics’ sales and distribution data, the offering also includes a suite of new cloud-based products. An ecosystem of proprietary and third-party business applications are available to help firms manage their core investment process and beyond.

 

The candidate will support the Head of Product Strategy. This role will execute against multiple strategic project goals, transformation initiatives and communications needs.

   

The team will play a central role in building BNY Mellon Data and Analytics Solution’s global strategy and narrative. The team will work with senior leaders within the business to help shape the initiatives that build the overall strategic priorities. The group will also take the lead in pricing strategies, product go-to-market plans and industry alliances.

  

 What You Will Do

  •    Help develop, shape, and articulate Data and Analytics Solutions’ strategy
  • Partner with Data and Analytics Solutions Management Team to capture business opportunities across the business, assess relative value and sequencing, and track and support execution (i.e., “rapid response” team for important projects)

  • Maintain a strong external orientation, understanding of industry dynamics and able to identify implications for Data and Analytics Solutions business

  • Independently manage work stream, socialize recommendations and gain consensus from stakeholders; uses influence as necessary

  • Work with individual product and functional leaders to help shape their priorities and connect into Asset Servicing and Digital strategic narrative and priorities

Strategic Planning - IC4 Leads key strategic initiatives in the planning, analysis, implementation, integration and measurement of business development projects for line of business. Provides solutions/recommendations for complex business initiatives for line of business where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Partners with business line managers to design short, medium and long-term operational improvements. Develops and ensures the execution of the operational/business strategy to improve processes, productivity and efficiency, and to reduce costs for business area. Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas across disciplines to achieve project objectives. Guides and consults with teams during strategic planning process. Executes the operational/business strategy and related activities for line of business. Defines analytical frameworks for visioning and assessing strategic options. Remains aware of contemporary concepts in business strategy and management. No direct reports. Provides guidance to more junior staff. Contributes to the achievement of business area objectives 

 


 



 

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred 7-10 years of related experience preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
