Database Adminstrator (RFP team)

Job Description


The role of the Database Administrator sits within EMEA Asset Servicing Proposal Development team with the purpose of maintaining the content within the RFP database in support of responding to business questionnaires on behalf of BNY Mellon. These questionnaires may include Requests for Proposals (RFPs); Requests for Information (RFIs); and any other request for information on the business. The Database Administrator works alongside the RFP Writers, Sales Partners and Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the best possible response is provided on behalf of BNY Mellon.

Role Responsibilities:

The Database Administrator will:
Be accountable for the ongoing maintenance of the EMEA-based information in the database, ensuring that responses are categorised under the correct headings
Ensure all new responses are reviewed and approved prior to adding in the database
Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts from internal business units to research and gather information necessary for the ongoing enhancement of the database
Ensure reviews are conducted on a regular basis to improve / enhance the database, and that the improvements are consistent with the departmental guidelines (working closely with the subject matter experts, RFP team and Sales Partners
Provide a monthly report on the status update of the Database
Collaborate with Database Manager in the US
Provide assistance on ad hoc projects within the EMEA Proposal Development team as and when required


Prior experience within the business/financial services industry
Proven experience in database administration
