Sr. Grp Mgr - Global head of Real Estate Technology within Alternative Investment Services


 


General Responsibilities:


  • Manage a global team of Real estate technology professionals across APAC, EMEA and U.S.

  • Work closely with business partners to help define strategy and lead the execution of the strategy

  • Work closely with the global team and partner groups to deliver software applications

  • Stay current with latest trends in Real estate and provide thought leadership

  • Support all aspects of business metrics including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and business review cycles

  • Participate with RFPs, help support new business by participating in client pitches and work with existing clients to help support and grow revenues for AIS

  • Spearhead communication across the team and to internal stakeholders

  • Identify and remediate risk management items, including but limited to controls, processes & procedures and business continuity

  • Assist with talent development for the organization


Skills and Qualifications


  • Seasoned technology manager with 15+ years of experience preferably managing global team of technologists.  Ability to build and motivate strong teams

  • Experience in Real Estate business and platforms – accounting, analytics, reporting

  • Experience working with Yardi and Investran (or equivalent systems)

  • Proven track record of implementing large scale programs

  • Technology background including a college degree in computer science or related field.  Looking for foundational background with technical skills in areas of Platforms, scalability, programming languages, databases, design and APIs.

  • Working knowledge of latest in cloud technologies, open source, Machine Learning, Data and AI

  • Experience working with different stakeholders such as clients, business partners, IT partners and vendors.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills, Team Management


  • Ability to build and leverage effective partnerships and relationships

  • Strong analytical skills; able to gather and synthesize information, draw insights and summarize issues

  • Highly organized, ability to manage to multiple, simultaneous aggressive deadlines and ensure adherence to firm wide protocols


 


Manages multiple application development projects for one or several business segments, including all phases of the systems development and implementation process. Provides analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technology, tools, etc.. Works collaboratively with business partners on technology solutions that have a significant revenue or cost impact, oversees the development and implementation of multiple application systems and identifies resource requirements to ensure 'best practice' development techniques. Works collaboratively with business partners in defining, developing, and implementing technology solutions that have impact on improving the business. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Manages multiple development teams. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives.


Qualifications



Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required12 + years of experience in systems analysis and program development with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
