Job Description

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks an Architect, Application Development in New York, NY, to translate user requirements to process data needs and design application technical infrastructure such as specific databases, programming languages, utilities, testing approach, and tools. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: performing software development using Java, JSP, Servlet, Spring framework, Junit, Web services SOAP & REST, JTA, JMS, IBM MQs, ActiveMQ, Javascript based UI technologies such as GWT, AngularJS, and databases including MySQL, DB2, and Oracle; managing application life cycle using HP ALM and Jira; providing application and user support, troubleshooting, application testing, and post-implementation review of new and changed applications; developing, enhancing, and maintaining quality application systems to support clients; designing and coding programs using source code management tools (GIT, SVN), continuous integration tools including Hudson and Jenkins and application servers/web containers including Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, Weblogic, Websphere; utilizing building and dependency management tools including Maven and ANT and profiling tools including JConsole, and Dynatrace; and creating test transactions.
