Market/Client Risk Management - Provides analytical support in the review of services provided to clients with considerations for BNY Mellon risk and assists in reviewing, analyzing and executing transactions for BNY Mellon’s document custodian business. Facilitates onboarding client responsibilities, including contract review and negotiation. Ensures routine deals are set up correctly and mitigates risk through thorough document and/or data review whilst meeting client objectives. Exchanges information/tasks with team members / internal and external parties, issuers and their lawyers and advisors when facilitating the review and/or onboarding of the terms of the transactions. Mitigates risk to BNY Mellon by performing a review of client contracts and collecting relevant data needed for downstream processing. Also ensures that contracts comply with corporate policies and business procedures as well as protect and compensate BNY Mellon for services provided. Prepares and/or reviews required documentation.. Escalates potential issues to more senior team members. Ensures BNY Mellon is compliant with applicable regulations and policies and procedures. No direct reports. Responsible for assisting in transaction management and closing deals for assigned clients and/or in executing transactions. Focus is on routine and/or less complex client services. May provide secondary support on transaction management of moderately complex client services / transactions. .
Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance or a related area, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Paralegal or legal experience preferred. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred.
