Resiliency Engineer
Our Centralized Production Services team is responsible to ensure the availability and reliability of the production services. Additionally, the team focuses on improving the efficiency of the operation teams’ response to incidents to reduce the mean time to restoration of production incidents.  The team is also responsible for conducting analysis of application design and performance metrics to detect operational risks. The team serves as an escalation point to help triage critical issues and take a holistic approach (Application, platform and network) to solve these complex problems. The team would also participate in blameless root cause analysis to find the true root cause and create action plans (including design, monitoring and process) to prevent re-occurrence of the issue. The team is also expected to track patterns of risks and vulnerabilities and work with the various team (including architecture, engineering and development teams) to drive the design and implementation of best practices and self-healing techniques.
Responsibilities
• Serve as an escalation point for major production issues • Participate and lead root cause analysis sessions • Detect various risks in the Production environment and work with Engineering and Development teams to develop and implement mitigating steps  • Identify opportunities to improve the production support processes • Improve monitoring and visibilities to applications and infrastructure components in productions • Collaborate with other Production support team to drive standardization across the different line of business • Provide mentoring and training to other members/teams in production support 

Qualifications

Skills 
• Experience supporting mission critical production system • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic  • Expertise in development using Java, C++ . NET as well as scripting • Strong experience with relational database (Oracle, SQLServer and Saybase) • Deep understanding of operations processes and system administration (e.g. Window, Linux, Unix) • Experience using Monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics • Understanding of network protocols and client-server communication
