The Role We are looking for a Senior Endpoint Protection Engineer to join our Network Security Engineering Team. You will be a key member of the team responsible for the design and delivery of the endpoint protection tools for our large enterprise. We are a fast-paced environment that is leveraging all of the latest technologies to deliver a new modern desktop workspace for our users. You will have the opportunity to continuously strengthen BNY Mellon's endpoint security controls and collaborate with a broad range of colleagues on important security issues. A strong understanding of endpoint protection and security are necessary, while knowledge of how the modern workspace is evolving a plus. Key Responsibilities Include: • Engineering of endpoint security solutions • Evaluation of endpoint security products • Collaborate with internal security and operational teams • Be the escalation point for endpoint security troubleshooting • Engineer and evaluate Enhanced Detection and Response tools • Work with our vendor partners and prospective partners to ensure BNY Mellon has the best solution in place • Evaluate potential consolidation of endpoint security controls
Sr. Specialist Systems Engineer/Programmer->> Leads the design and development of highly complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Performs systems management and integration functions. Conducts and leads analysis to correct systems, applications, software, and hardware that are not compliant with Corporate policy/procedures. Works closely with external vendors on large infrastructure engineering projects. Works closely with Application Development and Quality Assurance and Testing teams to understand infrastructure needs during the development and testing processes. Applies IT expertise in strategizing how to best develop infrastructure that will allow development and testing processes to be secure and efficient.Provides input and recommends processes in developing project plans. Monitors project progress and provides regular status reports to management team. Evaluates the effectiveness of the organization's existing infrastructure technology. Stays informed of current industry trends and emerging technologies. Researches and analyzes trends to recommend and implement upgrades that enhance the reliability and efficiency of the IT infrastructure. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
- Eight to ten (8-10) years of related experience is required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience in a senior operational role in endpoint security or administration
- Strong security focus
- Strong scripting skills
- Experience in a senior Windows Administrator Role
- Experience in a senior Linux Administrator Role
Preferred: • Security certifications (Security+, CISSP)
• Automation skills including multiple programming languages (Python, Ansible, PowerShell)
• Strong experience in data analytics
