We are looking for people with a technical mindset or even Software Developers to join our Smart Technologies team, where you will be able to use your skills to help create interesting products, from very large sets, of current, and historical documents, to building out new Optical Character Recognition (OCR) solutions to help drive successful delivery of all projects. Key Roles & Responsibilities:  
  • Participate in requirements analysis
  • Surface analyze outputs from computer vision, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Machine Learning
  • Develop dashboards and user interfaces for the extraction platform 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce automation design and architecture
  • Write clean and re-usable assets for OCR utilities
  • Test and deploy applications and systems
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code
  • Improve existing software
  • Develop documentation
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support  

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or comparable work experience
  • 6+ years of programming experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in RPA, OCR/ICR, Text Mining and/or Natural Language Processing
  • Good intuitive sense for data understanding, drawing connections between data and business processes
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Strong programming skills in an imperative and object-oriented language (preferably .Net)
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies 
  • Should be able to work in challenging situation and environment
  • Experience working with Scrum Agile practices 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working with financial data – especially data generated via Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
  • Experience with data modeling tools, web services and/or service oriented architecture is beneficial 
  • Strong understanding of machine learning predictive models
  • Certified in Kofax Total Agility Essentials + Transformation
