The Digital Office is at the forefront of BNY Mellon’s digital transformation and offers the opportunity to work with senior digital leaders across the firm. Launched in 2018, the Digital Office works across all BNY Mellon lines of business to address client priorities and regulatory concerns. As a result, candidates who join will work with a truly cross-functional team to re-imagine challenging business problems and build new solutions. Through this, candidates will gain tangible experience in new digital ways of working and problem solving, using data to drive decision making. Role Description and Responsibilities


Senior UX Designer is a hands-on role, the candidate will be responsible for creating delightful and elegant experiences for various products incubated in Innovation center, involved in every steps of the projects from user research, concept prototypes to design implementation.

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of Business Users, Product Manager, Engineers and Data Scientists
  • Partner with product manager to design, lead and facilitate design workshop and conduct usability testing

  • Partner with product owner and/or product manager to envision product experience and bring that vision alive

  • Produce designs and artifacts from journey maps, design principles, UX flows, low to high fidelity design and prototypes to design specifications

  • Facilitate education and training of design thinking for multi-disciplinary teams co-located in the center

  • Collaborate with her/his UX Designer peers in Global Innovation network to foster UX design culture and advance UX capability and practice

  • Present to both internal and external audiences to evangelize the firm's UX Design narrative, and showcase design success stories

  • Contribute to the firms' digital communication / information sharing medium (i.e.: Blog posts, Podcast, etc.) to share UX thought leadership, knowledge gained, and multiply success to the rest of the organization

  • Highly collaborative, able to effectively navigate organization boundaries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related fields / equivalent practical experience

  • 7-10 years working experience driving design in high performance and demanding product teams

  • Portfolio showcasing applied knowledge of user-centered design, solutions to design problems, designing human interface from large screen to small screen devices, and examples of design workshop facilitation and artefacts produced

  • Proven track record in fast moving agile environment, successful collaboration with multi-disciplinary team across time zones

  • Fluency in common industry design tools: Adobe Photoshop, Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch and other prototyping tools is a MUST

  • Familiarity with HTML 5 and CSS is a MUST

  • JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React/Redux) knowledge is desirable, but not required
