The Trustee & Depositary function is a specialist provider of fiduciary services to UCITS, Non UCITS and AIFMD Fund Structures. The core responsibility of the depositary is to act solely in the interest of the investor, to hold in safekeeping the assets of the investment funds and provide oversight on the activities of the scheme
• Investigate daily cash monitoring exceptions • Review daily and monthly cash reconciliations for aged and material breaks in line with procedures • Complete manual recordkeeping and ownership verification checks on a monthly basis • Liaise with internal teams for receipt of required back up • Download or extract essential reporting required for the Depositary’s books and records • Ensure books and records are complete on a daily basis • Display a good understanding of the regulatory requirements governing each specific task/ function • Ensure all logs and checklists are kept up to date • Ensure client queries are tracked and escalated where necessary in line with procedures • Provide and participate in cross training with colleagues where necessary. • Provide cover where necessary for other team members for holidays/sickness. • Assist in preparation for visits from compliance, audit etc… for relevant investment funds. • Attend any courses that may be relevant to trustee role. • Escalate material items to line management promptly. • Ensure all company procedures and policies are adhered to at all times. • Assist in any ad hoc tasks as requested.
QualificationsMinimum Educational Requirements: • Third level qualification preferably in business/legal related/accounting/finance discipline. • Proficiency with MS Office & PC literacy • Understands the background of various fund types in terms of legal rules and regulations. • Understands the role of Administrator, Custodian/Prime Broker, Trustee/Depositary, and Investment Manager.
Essential Skills: • Analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues to the satisfaction of clients. • Interest in, and a basic knowledge of, financial markets • Ability to work in a team environment and also on one’s own initiative • Proactive, focused attitude towards work and an ability to consistently meet deadlines • Organisational, inter-personal and excellent communication skills • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under time pressure • Ability to focus on accuracy and timeliness
