Group Manager, Client Reporting/Performance

Job Description

Head of Operations for Global Risk Solutions (GRS) in the EMEA region including responsibility for the Operations function based in Wroclaw, Poland and oversight of Operations delivery to EMEA clients from both Poland and other GRS Operations locations.  
Client Service: • Provide leadership and direction to the Operation with the primary objective of providing a best in class service to GRS clients.  • Provide leadership oversight for escalated client issues, ensuring senior leadership and relevant oversight groups are apprised of areas of concern and resolution plans.  • Work collaboratively with the Relationship Management and GRS Consultant teams to build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.  Ensure the Operations group is proactively engaged to improve client service and actively engage with clients. • Support the commercial area in the pre-sales process including resource forecasting, providing operational input into RFP completion, prospective client presentations and site visits as required.
Organisational Leadership: • Leading teams supporting the delivery of multiple complex GRS products. • Support the Global Head of GRS Operations to deliver broader group objectives. As a leader within the GRS business, assist in areas including: developing strategy; providing guidance and decision making on operating model; communicating the GRS message and being a point of senior level escalation. • Global Functional Leader (Business Process Leader) of Regulatory Reporting to GRS clients.  Direct strategy in relation to the operating model and expertise required to delivery effective Regulatory Reporting to GRS Clients.  • Represent GRS Operations in ensuring the impact to GRS Operations of regulatory change in EMEA region is understood and implemented effectively. • Proactively managing team resources including staffing levels and designated financial budget items.  
People: • Develop and maintain a highly engaged, skilled and competent team.   • Ensure staff recruitment, development and succession planning is an active and ongoing priority across the Operations group.    • Actively promote engagement in departmental and wider BNY Mellon initiatives to encourage and diverse and inclusive workplace.
Change: • Proactively identify and implement change opportunities to reduce risk and achieve efficiencies in the Operations organisation.  • Ensure the group is empowered and acts with a sense of urgency to assess and implement responses to change opportunities. • Lead the Operations group through major change programmes, maintaining engagement and empowering the group to take ownership and drive successful change initiatives. 
Risk and Control: • Direct activities to ensure the department operates to required quality standards. Interact with other GRS Operations teams, including Institutional and Fund Accounting, within the broader BNY Mellon group to ensure quality delivery. • Report to oversight committees and/or legal entity boards representing GRS Operations, reporting status and providing assurance of the Operations capability to delivery an effective service. • Ensure the infrastructure is in place to maintain and develop procedures, including client specific requirements. Identify areas for improvement from both a risk and productivity perspective.  • Provide management reporting: Monthly KPIs and KRIs, staff development plans, issues tracking and other MIS as required by Management.


•    Demonstrable extensive experience gained within a relevant financial service industry, preferably within Banking or an Investment Manager environment.

•    Significant performance measurement industry knowledge and thorough knowledge of all GRS related products and services is desirable.
