Lead Manager (Vendor and Governance)

Job Description

The Governance  & Vendor team ensures that the appropriate governance and controls are in place for all EMEA Transfer Agency (TA) and it's Vendors. The Governance & Vendor Team works with internal and external parties such as auditors, risk & compliance groups and EMEA TA’s clients.
•Responsible for the oversight of changes to Rufus and ancillary systems at BNY Mellon.  •Participate in meetings that constitute part of the corporate governance process such as meetings relating to EMEA Change, Service Reviews, Development ,Vendor specific meetings & Executive Committee Meetings including Risk & CASS requirements. Interpret, Implement & oversee corporate governance processes within EMEA TA such as SMR, ICAAP, Legal Entity requirements. •Co-ordinate and participate in agreement of contracts for new services to be provided •Oversee the commercial aspects of Vendor contracts such as invoices and other billing information responsibility of ensuring that EMEA TA meets its obligations to its clients in terms of BNYM outsourcing arrangements specifically adherence to BNYM corporate rules and professional FSA standards  •Responsibility of ensuring that BNYM EMEA TA meets its obligations to its clients in terms of BNYM outsourcing arrangements specifically adherence to BNYM corporate rules and professional FCA standards  • To ensure that effective processes are in place to identify, manage, monitor and report vendor risks to Peer/Senior group • Interpret, implement and oversee all Vendor impacted requirements across EMEA TA. • Maintain up to date knowledge of financial services and specific knowledge of legislation, regulations & corporate governance. • The job holder will be expected to continually ensure adherence to Vendor &  SLA's and seek improvement opportunities at a process, client or industry level. • The job holder will be required to support EMEA TA during visits of compliance officers, auditors, Trustees Depositories, and management companies specifically in terms of Vendor & Governance Oversight. • The role may include travel to all EMEA TA and Vendor locations including offshore • The job holder will also be expected to participate in various projects affecting EMEA TA including corporate governance requirements


• Extensive Financial Services experience at senior management level • Experience of Vendor Oversight and it's impact on EMEA TA Experience of Corporate Governance and it's impact on EMEA TA Sound knowledge of legal entity framework & reporting requirements • To be numerate and accurate. • Must have experience of active engagement with Vendors • Must have a proactive personality and ability to influence • Must be able to use initiative to obtain results and be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines whilst working under pressure. • Effective communicator and presenter internally and externally • Ability to analyse and summarise legal contracts • A working knowledge of Rufus or other TA systems
