Department Global Payments – Cash Ops Business Support
Department Overview  Global Payments are on an exciting transformation journey, taking the build of our enterprise payment platforms to the next level.   Consequently, we have some very exciting and critical roles that will drive the change and evolution of our global payment services within the payment processing and payment investigation functions. 
Job Purpose  Support and drive complex payment oriented projects that will, enhance the client experience and product features, improve operational scale, standardize global processes and approaches, reduce opportunities for risk and improve margins/reduce costs.
Manage / Collaborate on deliverables with internal stakeholders such as Product, Technology, Risk and Compliance.
 Lead projects from initiation to completion; this would include the initial strategic design to complete execution and then thereafter continuous improvement of any solutions.
 Leverage analysis and planning skills including quantitative and qualitative analysis pre and post implementation as well project management, communication and stakeholder management.
Design testing approach and methodology, including use case creation, UAT environments and regression testing Operational readiness; ensure teams running the business are fully engaged, trained, and prepared,  ensuring the successful adoption of any changes or new solutions.
Consults with stakeholders to analyze and prioritize business requirements and ensure link of strategic business objectives, operations, and IT initiatives.
 Demonstrates expert understanding of company operations, strong and broad client relationships within the company and across the industry, strategic understanding of technology, and proven ability to deliver high-impact results. 
Represents the business to all areas of IT in resolving intricate issues and developing innovative technology solutions. 
May support staff on major projects. Elicits, nuances, and prioritizes business requirements. Translates into functional design and use case models. Develops project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for large and highly complex multi-year programs.
Has demonstrated ability to push multi-faceted projects to completion with sound planning and persistent execution. 
Aligns resources, seeks the input of key constituents, and manages others to achieve desired results Provides guidance to senior management on business and operating model options to effectively support business strategy. 
Develops implementation/conversion strategy and implementation plan. Manages scope and change throughout the initiative utilizing formal change control and requirements traceability.
Analyzes and designs an explicit set of disciplined actions to seek out the optimum value for both initial and long-term investment in a new product and/or service offering affecting a large and/or significant part of the business. 
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates proposed products and services offerings, operational improvements, and emerging technologies for impact and leverage across the firm. 
Support the training of users on new or enhanced applications and/or systems of high complexity that significantly affect a business area. 
Supports technical consultation concerning business implications of complex application development projects. 
Supports testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems that are highly complex in nature. 
Uses deep expertise and broad knowledge of the most intricate regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control to serve as subject matter expert in supporting the development of improved business processes through technology. 
May support  a small team on complex or multi-year projects. Under a matrix structure, assists in directing, motivating, and developing junior colleagues. 
Maximizes their contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with the team. 
Assists with recruiting efforts.

Provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
Leads projects and allocates work accordingly. 
Contributes to the achievement of related area objectives.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Deep practical knowledge and understanding of the payments industry, with experience in global cross border and/or domestic payment channels such as RTP, ACH, SWIFT, FED, CHAPS and T2 .
An innovate mind, with a strong hands on mentality and focus on successful execution within challenging deadlines.
A proven multi-tasker, that can operate under pressure and balance multiple priorities and time constraints
Desire to transform the way things are; challenge the status-quo, striving for solutions that are best in class.
Ability to learn new concepts quickly with outstanding analytical skills, structured thinking, ability to connect the dots across similar problem statements and exceptional attention to detail.
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 
12 plus years of total work experience preferred. 
Technical experience preferred.
Working conditions and other information (working hours, full time, permanent etc.)
Monday to Friday 35 hour week
