Helps drive and implement the strategic corporate tax program within a business/business partner area. Consults on tax issues, questions, problems and provides guidance. Works across regional groups to communicate tax matters effectively to senior business management. Leverages nuanced tax techniques to achieve business objectives.
Identifies changes in the regulatory and legislative environment and tax accounting and reporting policies and trends. Recommends and implements changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changes.
Works with other business units, operations and technology and liaises with legal and compliance staff in relation to regulatory matters. Guides all tax staff into compliance with tax law and regulations. Represents compliance with policies and standards to corporate management, internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Coaches and guides more junior staff on improving the execution of the complicated tax activities and achievement of multi-faceted goals. Manages development and talent management processes for more junior managers and a team of corporate tax staff. Coaches and counsels more junior staff.
Directly manages more junior staff and market risk staff and ensures their focus on daily tasks to deliver on initiatives.
Responsible for the achievement of goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of corporate tax staff. Completion of tasks may affect organizational achievement of objectives.

Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 10-12 years of total work experience with at least 1-3 years in management preferred. Experience in tax at a large Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm or law firm preferred.
