Clearing, Markets & Issuer Services Technology (CMIST) is responsible for application development and support for more than 350 critical business systems including Repo Edge (collateral management), Enterprise Payment Hub (multi-currency payment processing), and Broker Dealer Clearance (securities clearing).
Treasury Services Technology (TST) within CMIST leads the development and maintenance of state-of-the-art technology solutions for the Treasury Services business. TST is aligned with the business into five sub-segments including: Global Payments, Information & Liquidity, Payments and Receivables, Enterprise Financial Messaging (EFM) and Trade Services. Because of TST’s industry-leading solutions, BNY Mellon is the first bank to participate in Real-Time Payments processing and provide full transparency into the status of payments.
Role will be initially responsible for integrating the chosen vendor application into BNYM technology ecosystem. Work required will be to engage with TSG – the infrastructure group, Single sign on(SSO), Entitlements system, other interfacing partners like DDA (Account systems), Payment systems and Client and Account master systems. Consequently, candidates must display proven ability to implement vendor systems in an enterprise setting or being part of the build of an enterprise system. Knowledge of interfacing design patterns and more than one technologies(File, Messaging, APIs) will be a plus. The candidate will be subsequently involved(2021) in the full scale development of enhanced Liquidity functionality – Virtual accounts. The candidate will learn core functional knowledge in Client Liquidity solutions.Job Duties Specific job duties to include:
- Participate in the deployment of the enhanced Liquidity Management solution and the development of interfaces
- Collaborate with the sector Architect and Enterprise architecture Review Board
- Collaborates with Technology teams in other areas like Payments, DDA systems, Customer Master, Rate Server, NEXEN
- Knowledge of Payments and or Liquidity area including SWIFT is highly desirable
- Development of the Virtual Accounts module
Specialist Developer->> Provides application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. May also be responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Has thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conducts reviews of the test Plan and test Data. May allocate/ coordinate work within a team/project. Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology. Coordinates coding, testing, implementation and documentation of solution. Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved. Contributes to defining time tables and project plans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs. Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems. Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives.
- 3-5+ years of Finance applications development/Architecture experience
- Should have demonstrated experience in developing and or installing an enterprise application. Knowledge of Interface design patterns and more than one of the following technologies would be required(MQ, API, Files)
- Design expertise in creating Micro services based architecture is required.
- Hands on and in-depth experience in Linux, Java, J2EE, MQ, Web 2.0, CSS, Angular JS, SAML, Open Source development technologies like Jenkins, JIRA, Maven, Apache is required. Knowledge of Dockers and or Kubernetes will be a plus.
Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 6-8 years of experience in software development required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
