Job Description

This position will be responsible for managing the documentation, collateral control and monitoring, and servicing and administration functions for all Private Banking Commercial Credit Facilities System credit facilities in order to met the revenue growth and service quality needs of the business line and the timing and service quality needs of its borrowing customers, while ensuring that legal and regulatory requirements and Mellon policy and procedure requirements are met. To fulfill the responsibilities of the position the incumbent will oversee the day to day preparation of all loan documents, interacting with the Legal Department when necessary to ensure that the Bank's assets are property protected. He/She will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of loan documentation and processing audits. He/She will also be responsible for staff development, cross training and resource allocation to ensure that the needs of the business line are met. He/she will conduct/arrange for ongoing training for lending personnel and their support staffs regarding proper loan documentation, procedural issues, communications and work flow to continually improve the overall efficiency and quality of the business line's lending activities in an aggressive growth environment. The incumbent will interact continually with Private Banking regional managers in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Maryland, California and Harrisburg, internal legal counsel and Private Banking Administration management to ensure that quality standards are met and that documentation and processing risks are identified, communicated and adequately controlled.


The qualified candidate will have 7-10 years banking experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in the management of commercial/consumer loan documentation/servicing/collateral administration/processing functions. In depth knowledge of Private Banking loans products, the Mellon commercial Credit Facilities System, Mellon Credit Policy, Consumer regulations and audit requirements. Strong knowledge of loan documentation requirements/issues. Skill/experience in preparing training materials and conducting training sessions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. General knowledge of accounting principles and practices. BA/BS or equivalent work experience required; MBA preferred.
