TSG Data Center Application Services team is looking for a highly motivated Network/DevOps Engineer with experience in Cisco Systems Data Center products, solutions and technologies. Programming of Network Infrastructure components. You will work closely with the Engineering teams to develop automated approaches to manual tasks thus by reducing time to deliver and risk of misconfiguration. This person will also work closely with the Compute and Storage teams to build upon this automation to automate the overall provisioning to reduce time to build.
Architect, Design and Configure Data Center network infrastructure.
Take infrastructure projects from start to finish and turnover to Production Services team.
Analyze and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation of complex networking problems.
Integrate automation solutions into existing network infrastructures to help increase efficiency in network operations.
Test vendor and open source solutions and products in a lab environment.
Plan and conduct major technical phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and the performance of assigned projects.
Operate and enhance our datacenter network infrastructure, including the lab.
Principal Network Engineer->> Leads the research, design, development, and the enterprise-wide integration and implementation of new and emerging technologies. Implements and supports the network infrastructure and systems for large, complex networks. Designs and supports inter-network solutions including the physical and logical configuration documentation and has an in-depth understanding of the entire network topology and architecture. Performs overall network design or support and on-going review of complex network design. Works with other IT areas to define or support architectural standards. Works and may lead relationships with other IT staff and vendor representatives on strategic projects, installations, moves, changes, troubleshooting, documentation and servicing for intricate network issues. Stays informed of current industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluates new technology, products, and services for potential and opportunity as future networking solutions or upgrade/replacement. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
Ten to twelve (10-12) years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting high-traffic networks is required.
Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Seven or more (7+) years of experience working in Network Engineering.
Two or more (2+) years of experience with REST API development a plus.
Strong understanding of network fundamentals.
Proficient in one or more programming languages, – Python, Go, Ruby, a plus.
Knowledge of network configuration protocols – NETCONF, YANG, REST-CONF, etc a plus.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Ability to identify network operational task and automate them via Python, Ansible, etc.
Excellent presentation and network troubleshooting skillset.
Experience with Cisco systems Data Center products, protocols and features.
Ability to lead an effort to improve network functions with DevOps mindset.
Experience with new technologies – SDN, VXLAN, Leaf/Spine fabric, DCNM, etc.
