The purpose of the Senior Representative role is to assist the Corporate Tax department with Tax Compliance and Advisory activities relating to Information Reporting and Withholding (IRW).
This individual will be responsible for:
Preparation of year-end Tax Forms 945 and 1042
Assisting with the year-end FATCA and CRS attestation process
Performing compliance testing/quality assurance on tax information reporting and withholding processes (e.g., onboarding, withholding, reporting) across various lines of business
Performing withholding and depositing of non-payroll federal and state taxes
Provide support for areas such as (but not limited to): Tax Audits and Qualified Intermediary (QI) reviews.
Assisting with the implementation of new technology solutions or suggesting tax compliance improvements utilizing various automation tools (e.g. Power Query, Power Bi, RPA, etc.)
Performing reconciliations and processing transactions
Writing policies and procedures
High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, bachelor s degree preferred. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in tax compliance or accounting preferred.
Experience with the following is preferred:
The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Nonresident Alien (NRA) Withholding, and Backup Withholding
Validation of Tax Forms W-8 and W-9
Completion of Forms 1042-S and 1099
Understanding of Forms 945 and 1042
Knowledge of financial products
