Technical Sr. Specialist – Mainframe Appl Support Analyst – 2nd Shift

This role will require on-call support, occasional weekend work and shift hours. Core hours are 4 PM to Midnight ET, M-F.

Maintains and supports applications and their operating environments on TBC and Mellon Mainframes.

Resolve Batch and Online issues in timely manner in order to maintain service level agreements.

Participate in root cause analysis to identify problems underlying the incidents and rectify to prevent recurrence.

Recommends technical solutions on application problems.


Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is beneficial, 8-10 years of diverse experience in information technology required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Basic experience with Mainframe technologies.

Strong knowledge of COBOL II, CICS, JCL, NDM, various IBM utilities working with DB2 and VSAM is required.

Knowledge/Experience with transmission protocols: SFTP, NDM Connect Direct is a plus.

Technical skills are a must.  Need someone willing to learn.
